In-depth Review of Insulating Fluids

Hosted by the Insulating Materials Committee
Monday, October 7, 2019 | 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM

The Insulating Materials Committee tutorial will be an in-depth review of the various commercially available insulating fluids.  Information will include how the insulating fluids are manufactured or refined, comparison of characteristics, and suitability for use in various applications such as transformers, load tap changers, oil circuit breakers, capacitors and cables. Characteristics reviewed will include environmental impact, biodegradation, cooling characteristics, and flammability.
