Basics of Protection for Industrials
The Basics of Protection for Industrials (DP 003) course provides a practical overview of protection principles and application as it applies to industrial plants, commercial facilities, and power plants. Presented from a straightforward perspective, it focuses on technical issues often encountered during work.
This course provides a unique opportunity to grasp the details of protective relaying with tips related to settings that can be applied on these relays. It will allow engineers and senior technicians to sharpen their knowledge regarding the relaying concepts.
Who should attend
The material covered is suited for both beginners and experienced individuals with simple to understand explanations. Managers, supervisors, protection engineers, experienced technicians, and insurance company personnel can greatly benefit from receiving a “refresher” on protection theory related to relaying applied at industrial plants and power plants.
While this material is beneficial to utility personnel and insurance company personnel, it does not include distance and communication assisted protection.
