Generator Protection Application and Testing
The Generator Protection Application and Testing (DP 102) course covers the basics of generator protection theory and testing, which include all elements that are typically used in power plant applications.
A demonstration of testing various elements of generator protection will be preceded by a complete presentation on generator protection theory. This unique combination of theory and testing allows students to appreciate the theory and testing from a realistic perspective.
Who Should Attend
This course is ideal for power plant engineers and technicians involved with either application or testing of generator protection.
It is also greatly valuable to industrial engineers and technicians with in-plant generation. Managers and supervisors at power plants or industrial plants with in-house generation taking this course will gain significant knowledge to supervise their testing crew. Additionally insurance personnel will benefit from the course’s practical discussions on reduction of risks associated with proper application and testing of generator protection.
